For decades now, the KOCHINVEST group has seen its social responsibility in supporting contemporary fine arts through personal commitment in cultural organisations, direct patronage of artists, awarding grants and prizes, as well as the acquisition of works of art in buildings.

The central focus of this commitment is represented by the zumikon. The house, situated on the banks of the river Pegnitz in Nuremberg, was built in 1999 according to the plans of Max Bill, internationally acclaimed artist and architect. It houses cultural and commercial institutions, thus marking an interface between business and culture.

The main factor of the KOCHINVEST group's success is its ability of being open-minded and curious, consistently adopting new ways of looking at and thinking about matters as well as creating networks. Cultural life and contemporary art in particular, are a source and constant teacher of these skills.
